Just what is the fascination? If an ambulance, fire truck, even a humble jeep rolls by, it's guaranteed one of these "machinas" will trump absolutely everything else going on in Daniil's world. Playing second fiddle to a steam shovel isn't all that bad, I guess, especially when I consider the conventional "girlie" alternative: Barbie.
